Green Heart, the Holcim Green Built Society, is a new initiative of Holcim Bangladesh Ltd to bring Green Construction into reality. The objective of Green Heart Society is to unite people to work on green built issues for future generations. The society will bring all the responsible members and citizens of the country in one platform to contribute their thoughts, ideas and practices to build sustainable construction for the future generation.

What is Green Heart

“Green Heart” is an initiative to create and strengthen the bond towards Green Living. The Green Living umbrella aims to bring all responsible members of the society to act intelligently for giving benefit to the future generations by efficient use of the limited natural resources, planned urbanization and management of both technical and non technical aspects for living standards. Green Heart concerns itself with a range of topics and practices including conservation of resources, recycling, sustainability, green construction, alternative energy, organic food choices and other environmental topics. Green Heart is established on the Triple Bottom line issues of Sustainable Construction, the environmental, social-economic and cultural issues. With the same concept Holcim Bangladesh organized the 1st cycle of Holcim Green Built Bangladesh Contest in 2009-2010. The contest was for Engineers, Architects, Planners with the objective of creating awareness on Green Construction for a better living of future generation.
